Winners of the Shrewsbury Mayor Award for Built Heritage

We are proud winners of the Mayor of Shrewsbury Award for Built Heritage 2024!

Our renovation of The Shrubbery at Lord Hill Gardens was crowned the winner by Shropshire Town Council.

What was formerly a hotel is now three beautiful townhouses, fully restored to preserve the character of the original, Grade II-listed building, whilst offering modern luxuries for today's living.

The Built Heritage Award recognises the achievements of individuals, organisations and companies that own buildings in Shrewsbury and have worked towards enhancing the built heritage through new development in sympathetic heritage settings to reuse and conversion of existing buildings.

At SY Homes we build with the intention that our homes add value to this beautiful market town.  Our design-led approach brings together architecture, craftsmanship, community and sustainability.

We were delighted to be nominated alongside Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, a multi-million pound project which received the runners-up award.

This is our second nomination for the award, coming runners-up in 2023.
