Wayne Sidell entered the construction business after an international corporate career.  Wayne believes in pushing the boundaries, in taking design to a new level and innovating with new construction methods or technology to create market-leading homes.  His attention to detail and passion for delivering outstanding developments is clearly evident in our award-winning homes.

Rhys Thomas has been working in the construction industry since leaving school and has an overall knowledge of construction from the ground up.  He has worked for some very large civil engineering companies on site and within the office environment and has been a part of the SY Homes family since it’s inception.  As a proud Welshman, Rhys led and managed our recent social housing development in Heol Gruffyd to a successful conclusion.  Rhys has four children.

Sharon Sidell is a founding member of the SY Homes team.  Her role within the company ranges from interior design at the planning stage through to sales and marketing.  Sharon has a flair for quality, design and customer service which is shown within the constant homeowner satisfaction reviews that SY Homes receives.

Tom Savage is a highly-motivated senior project manager.  Tom’s background is as a fully qualified electrician and he has high-level understanding of the mechanical and electrical aspects within the development process.  Related to the Thomas', he is very well regarded as an important member of the SY family.

Gus’ 35-year career in construction and utilities has seen him working all over the world, both as business owner and contractor.  Born and raised in Wales, Gus is related to the Thomas family and lives with his partner and their daughters.

Loco started working on construction sites over 10 years ago and has been Site Foreman for SY Homes since 2024.  A natural communicator, he knows every movement on site and always has time for neighbours and customers.  Born in the DRC, Loco has a young family.

Elliot is responsible for end-to-end Quantity Surveying, Estimating, and Pre-construction Design Coordination services.

Managing Director of JPS Civil & Structural Engineers, Jonathan is a Chartered Structural Engineer and assists the SY Homes team by being responsible for the overall civil and structural design delivery on their schemes.

JPS are based in Chester and provide engineering expertise throughout Wales, Shropshire and the North West.  Originally from Birmingham and now living in Wrexham, Jonathon describes Shrewsbury as the perfect place for meeting friends and family.

Luke is a Charted Town Planner MPLAN MRTPI and Associate Director at Black Box Planning.  He assists the SY Homes team in preparing, submitting and negotiating planning applications with local planning authorities.

Black Box Planning provide town planning services and strategic planning advice across a wide area and have successfully advanced residential schemes in Shrewsbury and across Shropshire.
