Founded in 2014 by Wayne Sidell, Dickie Thomas and Rhys Thomas. We sadly lost Dickie in 2019 and his knowledge and experience are sorely missed.
Wayne Sidell entered the construction business after an international corporate career. Wayne believes in pushing the boundaries, in taking design to a new level and innovating with new construction methods or technology to create market-leading homes. His attention to detail and passion for delivering outstanding developments is clearly evident in our award-winning homes.
Rhys Thomas has been working in the construction industry since leaving school and has an overall knowledge of construction from the ground up. He has worked for some very large civil engineering companies on site and within the office environment and has been a part of the SY Homes family since it’s inception. As a proud Welshman, Rhys led and managed our recent social housing development in Heol Gruffyd to a successful conclusion. Rhys has four children.
Sharon Sidell is a founder member of the SY Homes team. Sharon’s role within the company ranges from interior design at the planning stage through to sales and marketing. Sharon has a flair for quality, design and customer service which is shown within the constant homeowner satisfaction reviews that SY Homes receives.
Tom Savage is a highly-motivated senior project manager. Tom’s background is as a fully qualified electrician and he has high-level understanding of the mechanical and electrical aspects within the development process. He is very well regarded as an important member of the SY family.
Lara Sidell joined the business in 2021 and quickly become a valuable member of the team. Lara has an extremely varied role from finance to customer support and has a bright future ahead of her.
Chris Longman had his own business for many years and a reputation for being one of the best bricklayers in the area before deciding to join the SY Homes team. His vast range of skills and knowledge are an important asset to the company. As well as being a site manager Chris also heads up the procurement processes.
Suzanne Johnson joined SY Homes in September 2021 after an international marketing career. She is obsessed with all things property, from monitoring government initiatives and industry trends, to planning her own Buy-to-Let portfolio and following the latest property influencers on social media. Born in Shropshire, Suzanne is married with two daughters.
Maisie is our site mascot and a very important member of the team!
